Information used for your order
When you buy a mug, we process your name, email, delivery address, chosen products and SKUs, quantities, order total, payment references and payment status. We also handle information you send when asking for support. Hosting and payment services process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to operate securely.
Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout. Our shop does not store your full card number or security code. Adding items to your basket alone does not supply us with your contact or payment details.
Why we use this information
We use order and contact information to perform our contract with you: taking payment, delivering mugs, managing returns and providing support. We keep records needed to meet accounting and tax obligations. Our legitimate interests include securing the shop, preventing fraud and resolving queries or disputes; we consider your rights when doing so.
Who receives it
Stripe processes payments. Resend delivers order confirmation and sale notification emails when our email service is connected. It processes the recipient address and the order information needed for those messages. Our Sites hosting service and its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, help operate the website and order storage. Couriers, which may include Evri, receive the details needed to deliver parcels. We may share relevant records with professional advisers or public authorities where required. We do not sell customer information, and no advertising tracking or newsletter subscription is configured in this shop.
Providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers must be covered by an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. See Stripe’s privacy policy for its processing and transfer arrangements. Contact us with questions about your order information.
How long records are kept
Accounting records are normally retained for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, and longer where a legal obligation or ongoing dispute requires it. Other information is kept only for as long as needed for its purpose. Browser storage is described in our cookies and storage policy.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Some records must be retained to meet legal obligations. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email sales@shaniztoons.co.uk to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing information. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern first.
